Diego goes to Puerto Vallarta

We had our last beach vacation last week and celebrated Canada Day on the beach. Our hotel was great and the people were very friendly. I had never been to PV and it is beautiful. Our hotel was downtown on the beach but there were lots of places to visit such as markets, little cafes and tequila sampling places. I really recommend PV. It was really a relaxing and beautiful place. We were there during Mexican summer holidays but the amount of people was average. Of course, Diego met lots of friends and had his first airplane flight. You can see his picture at Carlos O'Briens a local restaurant he was a popular little guy. Of course, there was live music every night at the hotel and Erik had to sing a few songs just because!

Diego at Three Months

So Diego got to visit Acapulco for his third month b-day. He loves the water and here is a picture of him sporting his bathing suit. When he is not swimming he likes his crinkly book. We have a friend that has lent us a motorbike and we have had fun on that riding around the city. So fun and cheaper on gas. We will send more photos of the timeshare we stayed at. It is so nice and available for all Canadian visitors!

Diego meets God!!

Ok so maybe he isn't God but in the Yoga world in Mexico..he is a very holy guy. (and he thought Diego was cute) After Diego's first yoga retreat we traveled around Cuernavaca (the city of the eternal spring) enjoying the hot weather. Here are some more shots of Diego. As you can see he is holding his head up for poses..what a kid! Also a photo with friends in Real de Monte...the small village near our place with great silver and famous pastes. We have been busy watching the little guy grow as well as planning our return to Canada. Only a month and we'll be on our way.

Diego has been getting out a lot lately and he has been enjoying some good Mexican music !! What a kid!There are some other photos with my students at Harmon Hall who gave Diego some traditional Mexican toys.

Diego at One Month!!

I can't believe how time flies!! Diego is now over one month and weighs 8 pounds. He smiles a lot and loves to go for walks in the sun. He also seems to love purple..interesting.(no influence from me of course) He are some artistic shots of the little man and also some pics from Easter with his grandparents. Check out those incredibly long toes!

Diego's First Road Trip

When Deigo was two weeks old we went to Tulancingo to the weekly market and to spend time in the center of this cute little town. Diego went to the market and we bought this adorable wool poncho made by a local woman who is in the photo above. Also, another vendor took a picture with us as well. We went to the park in the center where we took a picture with our friends after a great breakfast in the famous Colonial restaurant here. Finally a photo with Grandpa Wences and cousin Sofia of course wearing his favorite purple hat!

Diego is Born!!

Finally, on March 22nd,2007 Deigo was born 7 pounds at 11:10 pm at the Marfyl Clinic in Pachuca Mexico!

He is now 13 days old and he is growing a lot!! Of course we have many pictures to share. After four days we had a little party for him and a special cake so everyone could come and visit. We have been having fun showing him off and watching him grow and change everyday!!

More Updates from Pachuca!!

We had a great art show a little while back here at Harmon Hall featuring paintings from our art teacher and friend John.We also displayed our photographs from our travels here in Mexico. It was a big hit and we had lots of students and local people come to the show.

Of course we had a baby shower in February to celebrate our little one. It was a great day and everyone especially enjoyed the chocolate fountain. (I recommend it for any occasion!!) Of course we have some pictures from that day and more pregnancy photos as well!

Pregnancy Pics in Huatulco!

Here are some pictures from our trip to Huatulco in the south of Mexico. We were doing some photos of our pregnancy on the beach...However, now...I am a lot bigger!

We are waiting for little Diego any day now so don't worry we'll get everything posted as soon as we can! Supposedly from the ultrasounds he has lots of hair like Erik and he really likes Brazilian jazz and of course any kind of latin music.

Since St. Patrick's Day is coming up I want to wish the "luck of the Irish" to everyone!!

Happy February

So we have been neglecting our blod duties!! Here are few photos to update everybody. We spent Christmas in Taxco, a beautiful silver town and then to the beach!! Here is Erik teaching some singing skills to our niece Sophia. Also,this month we went to Veracruz to have a teacher's workshop with all of the Harmon Hall teachers. So, Nala had her first trip to the ocean. She liked it but found the waves a little scary. Our due date is getting closer and of course we will post many pictures when the baby arrives!! Happy 2007 and big hugs to everyone!
